Weighing the options

You know life is good when the biggest decision you need to make is who to vote for in the Puppies vs. Babies online contest.  I'll nevr forget when Maddy was a baby and we had Charlie the puppy, too. My favorite photo is one where she was sleeping on the couch and he had his arm and leg strewn over her, like they were snuggling. He was the cutest puppy EVER. But definitely not cuter than the baby, I mean.  As humans, we're wired to just know intuitively that babies are cuter than puppies. I've never seen dogs ooglling over how cute babies are because they're like neurologically wired to prefer their own species, right?  Let's be honest about what we're talking about when we thingk of puppies, OK. This Puppies vs. Babies thing is serious.  A baby would never chew up dirty diapers and strew them all over the living room, right? Babies don't shed hair that can end up floating in your morning coffee. Babies don't pee on your carpet or under the dining room table.  But there are people int his world who are seriously voting for puppies in this contest. can you believe it?  So do us all a favor please, and go vote for the human race... the future of the free world depends on it.
