Writing about Travel

I love to travel and I love to write. I've had travel articles published on Trails.com, Travels.com, USAToday.com, TravelSceneInvestigator.com, GolfLink.com, Suite101.com, HotelsByCity.net and Gypsymom.com and Bukisa.

If you love to travel and write, too, you should consider becoming a travel writer. There are so many resources online for learning how to get paid to write about your favorite vacations, and getting paid to research travel information. Try some of these travel writing sites to get started.

This is my writing website. I like to help other moms get into webwriting, and to make the most money. It's not directly related to travel writing, just to web-based writing in general, so  enjoy, with that in mind.

The Travel Writer's Life
This site has a class or a workshop for travel writing, but honestly the helpful resource page is HUGE with advice for would-be travel writers, it's awesome, not to be missed.

International Society for Travel Writing
Is a professional network for travel writers. They have an annual conference and (on the page I linked) some great resources to help you get started.

The Written Road
Is a website that publishes information about the travel publication industry. It's a great one to subscribe to. They have a nice resource page and a nice page of market leads.
